Advertising and Sponsorship Policy

Go4Ethnic accepts advertising on the Go4Ethnic properties (website and mobile applications) from third parties (“Advertisers”), which may include third party banners, badges, contextual advertising and content created or provided by an Advertiser (collectively referred to as “Advertisements” or “Advertising”). In addition, as used in this policy, the terms “Advertising” and “Advertisements” include third party banners, modules, links, microsites, native advertisements and other content provided by or on behalf of Advertisers. The Advertiser is responsible for the accuracy and objectivity of their Advertising. The following guidelines have been established by Go4Ethnic to govern various aspects of Advertising on Go4Ethnic properties.

The guidelines in this policy govern issues like acceptance of Advertisements by Go4Ethnic, how Advertisements are displayed on the Go4Ethnic website, and the removal of Advertisements from the Go4Ethnic website. Go4Ethnic has sole and absolute discretion with respect to interpretation and enforcement of this policy and all other issues associated with Advertising on the Go4Ethnic website. Go4Ethnic may change this policy at any time in its sole discretion by posting a revised policy to the website.

If you’d like to advertise with Go4Ethnic, reach out to us at [email protected]. These are the specific guidelines we follow about the types of advertising we accept:

We review the ads and promotional materials
Advertised products/ services must be in market and readily available.

We maintain sole discretion for determining the types of ads or promotional materials that will be accepted and displayed on Go4Ethnic. We reserve the right to reject, cancel, or remove any ads/promotional material at any time and for any reason. We will provide prompt notice to the advertiser/ sponsor upon rejection, cancellation, or removal of any ad/promotional material, along with an explanation. We also reserve the right to determine the appropriate placement of ads and promotional material on our website.

We don’t endorse any advertised products or services
Although products may appear on our site in the form of advertisements, under no circumstances will Go4Ethnic’s acceptance of any Advertisement be considered an endorsement of the product(s) and/or service(s) advertised or for the company that advertises, manufactures, distributes, or promotes the products or services.

In some cases, our team may rate or rank certain products or services. These ratings or rankings are determined solely by the editorial team(s) without regard to any financial or advertising relationship that may exist with companies that provide the product or services.

We will not accept certain types of ads
Go4Ethnic will not knowingly accept Advertising that, in Go4Ethnic’s opinion, is not factually accurate and in good taste.

There are certain categories of Advertisements that Go4Ethnic will not knowingly permit on the Go4Ethnic website at any time. These categories include but are not limited to the following:

  • Illegal, ‘objectionable’, ‘ineffective’ and/or ‘dangerous’ products (Go4Ethnic reserves the right to determine what is ‘objectionable’, ‘ineffective’ and/or ‘dangerous’)
  • fraudulent, deceptive, illicit, misleading or offensive material
  • material that misrepresents, ridicules, discriminates (real or implied) or attacks an individual or group on the basis of age, national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability or any other status deemed inappropriate for the Go4Ethnic website
  • alcohol
  • weapons, firearms, ammunition, or fireworks
  • gambling
  • pornography or related themes
  • tobacco use of any kind
  • the simulation of news or an emergency
  • material that directly advertises products to or is intended to attract children under the age of 13
  • media or messages for or that reference “M” rated video games or content
  • unreasonable, unlikely or extraordinary product or service claims
  • media messages or imagery that strobe or flash
  • media or messages that contain unsubstantiated “miracle” weight loss or other exaggerated claims of cure
  • advertising units that mimic computer functions or deceptively indicate a computer or other function that would be reasonable to the average user to assume as a reason to click the unit

We clearly distinguish advertisements from editorial content
Go4Ethnic recognizes and maintains a distinct separation between Advertising and Go4Ethnic’s editorial content. All Advertising on the Go4Ethnic website will be clearly and unambiguously identified. Go4Ethnic will not allow any Advertising on the Go4Ethnic website that is not identified with the label of “Advertisement”, “From Our Advertiser”, “Information From Industry” or a similar designation indicating that the Advertising is being provided by or on behalf of an Advertiser.

Clicking on an ad will take the user to an advertiser’s site or to a sponsor’s resource center hosted on a Go4Ethnic property. Sponsored resource centers are labeled as such, with the name of the sponsoring entity displayed.

Go4Ethnic retains the exclusive right to determine how any and all search results for specific information by keyword or topic are displayed on the website based on Go4Ethnic delivered search results. Content listed in search results is displayed with its source, e.g., “Go4Ethnic Blog Categories” or “Journal Article.” If Advertising appears in the search results, it is labeled as such.

Go4Ethnic reserves the right to decide at any time in its sole discretion whether it will accept, reject, cancel, or remove Advertising from the Go4Ethnic website. Go4Ethnic cannot provide any assurances that Advertisements will perform without error on all platforms, including websites and mobile applications.

It is the Advertiser’s responsibility to comply with all domestic and foreign laws and regulations applicable to its Advertising on Go4Ethnic website and mobile application (and to include all legally required legends, disclosures and statements in such Advertising), including without limitation the current FDA guidelines for Direct to Physician (DTP) and Direct to Consumer (DTC) advertising. Go4Ethnic will not monitor compliance with such laws and regulations. However, Go4Ethnic reserves the right to review all Advertising for compliance with applicable laws and regulations and, if Go4Ethnic becomes aware of any breach or potential breach of any applicable law or regulation or of these guidelines, Go4Ethnic may remove the Advertising from the website.

Affiliate Links on Go4Ethnic Content
As part of the article creation process, we will include affiliate links to relevant products we feel could be useful to our readers. While all products are chosen independently, we want you to know that Go4Ethnic may receive a small payment if you make a purchase through affiliate links provided in the content.

We clearly distinguish between sponsored and non-sponsored content
Go4Ethnic seeks sponsorships from trusted and credible organizations, manufacturers, and other service providers. Sponsorships provide financial benefit to Go4Ethnic, but also benefit our users by providing current and valuable information on various topics. When content (sponsored content, co-created content, or branded content) is provided by or influenced by a named sponsor, we take meaningful steps to ensure our users will not confuse that sponsored content with Go4Ethnic’s editorial content. Native advertising refers to links or ads within a piece of content that link to other content. Go4Ethnic may present advertising messages, advertisements, or sponsored posts in its social media channels. Thanks again for your interest in working with Go4Ethnic. We appreciate your interest and your understanding of our advertising and sponsorship policies.
